Join us for a day of centering connection, culture, and care as the foundation of primary sexual violence prevention.

Honoring Healthy Relationships: Primary Sexual Violence Prevention Conference centers the belief that prevention begins with relationships - with ourselves, with one another, with ʻāina, and within systems. Through AHAS arts integration and culturally grounded practice, participants will connect, reflect, and learn about Hawaiʻi’s Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) history, protective factors, and evidence-based strategies.

What attendees can expect:

  • A deeper understanding of how healthy relationships and cultural connection function as core protective factors in primary sexual violence prevention.

  • Practical, evidence-based, and culturally grounded strategies that strengthen prevention practice across public health, education, and community settings.

  • Examples of cross-sector collaboration that align systems with community leadership and cultural values.

  • Opportunities to engage in arts-integrated and grounding practices that support reflection, connection, and resilience.

  • A shared sense of kuleana and commitment to advancing safety, belonging, and care across Hawaiʻi.

Participants will engage in keynote talks, breakout workshops, and reflection spaces designed for learning and connection, with additional details forthcoming.

All are welcome, whether you work directly in prevention, support youth and families, or simply care deeply about building safer and healthier futures for Hawaiʻi.
